Kendra Foster, born in 1996, currently resides in Spartanburg, SC. She will receive her BFA in Studio Art from Converse College in 2018. Her work focuses on LGBT subject matter as a means by to identify, normalize, and validate relationships that exist outside of the realm of heteronormativity. Thus, she ultimately illustrates that the inherent understanding of romantic love amongst non-heteronormal people is as universal as the love between heterosexual individuals, and that these individuals are just like their heterosexual counterparts.  Foster has exhibited in shows at The Lee Gallery at Clemson University, the West Main Artists Co-op in Spartanburg, and was awarded 3rd place at the 5th Annual Juried Art Exhibition at the Spartanburg County Public Library.
